Firmware Update in NetModule Wireless Router?
The NetModule Wireless Routers have a lot of components installed. A few of them have their own firmware running.
This overview page will give you the answers to the most questions
Why do i see a warning about an outdated Firmware Version?
In some cases a firmware update is needed to maintain a steady function in the future.
If we are posting a warning on the outdated version we were informed about the vendor on a recommend update
Do i need to worry about other Modules?
If there is no warning showed there is no general need for an update. In the past Firmwareupdate were used for very specific Problems. Ussually only a few customers are affacted.
How do i perform a Firmware update

Which components can be updated
Beside LTE and 3G Modems you can update the internal CAN modules.
How risky is a firmware update process
All of our modul update processes are fail safe and foolproof.
A few safety levels are ensured to react correctly on different errors
Do i need to update the router software before updating the firmware
If your Software is older than one year a software update would be recommended any way.
But if the firmware update function is available in the web-manager you will be able to update the module firmware.
Starting with 4.5.0.100, 4.4.0.107 and 4.3.0.108 we increased the maximum filesize for the direct upload.
If you you are using an older software you will to have to use the download from URL function.
