Use Cases

The Connectivity Suites lets network administrators remotely build, monitor and modify their devices from a central system in a secure way. The user can manage complete network device groups at once. Powerful enough for projects with hundreds of devices, with the flexibility to choose between a convenient cloud-based installation or an on-premise server solution to keep all data strictly internally. Therefore, the Connectivity Suite guarantees a sustainable investment for various kinds of applications to save time and costs.

Industrial applications

In industrial application, the production plants are often at different sites and operated by different customers. Establish access to the plant in maintenance or support cases is often time-consuming and costly on customer and operator side. Furthermore, connectivity between the plants cross-customer is difficult to control. The Connectivity Suite solves these issues and even more.

Troubleshooting

Plant has connectivity issues and a direct access to the device to troubleshoot the issue is required. Therefore, the Connectivity Suite provides:

  • Efficient Troubleshooting by monitoring complete networks incl. device via Ethernet. Faulty interfaces can be identified efficiently and provide therefore a fast troubleshooting.
  • Be informed about any connectivity change at any time
  • Fast remote support by accessing machines remotely via Connectivity Suite in a support case

Whenever a connectivity issue occurs the network administrator will be informed via the user interface of the Connectivity Suite about the device or network which has connectivity issues. The service technician can access via VPN the device to execute the troubleshooting procedure on the device as illustrated in the example image below:

Fleet management

Ensure that plants which are installed at different customers sites do not connect with each. However still required to do massdeployments of firmware or configuration updates cross customer. Therefore, the Connectivity Suite provides:

  • Manage fleets at different customer sites by logical grouping and separation of several network sites within a centralized platform
  • Scheduled OTA configuration and update of complete machine fleets

The Connectivity Suite establishes a reliable and secure connection and separation of your plants within the configured networks. OAT-Software and configuration updates can be scheduled so that they’re executed automatically at the desired time as illustrated in the example image below:

Fleet management

Ensure that the connectivity devices of the vehicles always have the newest configuration and firmwares and that updates are execute when the vehicles are not in use at any location. Also provide security for the vehicle communication. Therefore, the Connectivity Suite provides:

  • Manage fleets at any location by Scheduled OTA configuration and firmware updates of complete vehicle fleets
  • Setup secure VPN or Private APN connections to the device to ensure highest security
  • Logical grouping and separation of several network sites within a centralized platform to set up vehicle groups

  • Fast remote support by accessing machines remotely via Connectivity Suite in a support case
  • Fast exchange or addition of a new vehicle to the existing network

The service technician can access via VPN the device to execute the troubleshooting procedure on the device. A new device can be easily added or an existing faulty device exchanged in the network as illustrated in the example image below:
